Non-Disclosure Agreements
NDA adds value
Confidentiality Agreements / Non-Disclosure Agreements are important not just for the legal protection they provide but also for perception.
Insisting on a NDA / Confidentiality Agreement before you disclose your information to another person helps in the perception that the information that you are about to disclose is highly valuable.
NDAs also heighten awareness of internal management processes for the recipient party to minimise the risk of inadvertent leaking of the information.
These reasons alone are enough to include a requirement for a signed Non-Disclosure Agreement / Confidentiality Agreement before you disclose your valuable information.

Hello!
I have recently had the experience where I left a leave form with my signature on it for my boss to sign and forward to HR. He wanted to me to alter the dates but I did not agree to this (and told him so). He altered the dates himself signed it and sent it to HR with my signature and his, as if my signature was for the dates he had put.
I know you cant give me specific advice but it strikes me that altering something previously signed in this way must be breaking some kind of law. Could you direct me to any relevant legislation?
Thanks so much
Helen
